MafiaNarratorTerms of Service
Effective 20 October 2026 · MAXISHERE PTY LTD · ABN 82 697 253 400 · mafianarrator.site
These terms are an agreement between you and MAXISHERE PTY LTD ("we", "us"), Holland Street, North Epping NSW 2121, Australia, (ABN 82 697 253 400), for the use of Mafia Narrator: the website mafianarrator.site, the web app and the iPhone and Android apps (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy.
1. Your rights under Australian Consumer Law
Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. For major failures with the service, you are entitled to cancel your service contract and to a refund for the unused portion, or to compensation for its reduced value. You are also entitled to be compensated for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. If a failure does not amount to a major failure, you are entitled to have problems with the service rectified in a reasonable time and, if this is not done, to cancel your contract and obtain a refund for the unused portion. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies those rights.
2. Accounts
- You must be 18 or older and give accurate details, including your date of birth.
- One person per account. Keep your password, authenticator app and recovery codes safe; you are responsible for activity on your account. Tell us straight away if you think someone else has used it.
3. Plans, free trials and prices
- Member, A$24.99 per year: the Bulletin, comments and likes, free gathering bookings, news notifications, your own role on your phone, and choosing your night action there, when a narrator adds your email to their game, a quiet buzz when it is your turn at night (you can turn it off), game summary emails, and your own game record and statistics.
- Narrator, A$119.99 per year: everything in Member, plus running games, the narrator chat and invite rewards.
- Crew, A$149.99 per year: Member access for 10 people the buyer chooses by email. The buyer has 10 days to choose all 10; after that, their account opens only on the Crew page until they have. A chosen person can be taken off only once they have a Narrator plan of their own. The buyer gets Member access only if they add their own email, and the access ends for everyone in the Crew if the plan is not renewed. The buyer can instead activate the Crew with fewer people (at least 6), at the same price; the list then can't change until the plan renews.
- Member gift, A$24.99 once: a year of Member access for someone else, sent to their email. Only the account with that email can claim it; if they already pay for a plan, their next payment moves a year later instead. It never renews and has no cash value.
- Prices are in Australian dollars, include GST, and are the total price you pay. The current prices are shown on the plans page before you pay. Every payment gets a tax invoice by email.
- Free trials (30 days for Member, 14 days for Narrator) need no card and are never charged. When a trial ends, the features stop until you choose a plan.
4. Automatic renewal and cancelling
- A plan you pay for renews automatically every year at the then-current price, charged to your saved payment method, until you cancel.
- You can cancel at any time on the website: Account → Manage billing. Your plan then stays active until the end of the year you have paid for, and is not charged again.
- If we increase the price of your plan, we will tell you by email at least 30 days before your renewal, so you can cancel before you are charged.
- Except where the Australian Consumer Law requires (see section 1), we do not refund the remaining part of a year when you cancel or change your mind.
5. Gathering listings, tickets and rewards
- Golden Narrators can publish gatherings in the Bulletin. The first 5 are free; each listing after that costs A$25.00 and is charged when you buy it.
- Invite rewards (Golden Narrator status and free years) are given automatically as described on the plans page. They have no cash value and cannot be transferred. We may change or end the reward program for the future with 30 days' notice; rewards already earned are kept.
- Hosts can sell tickets for their gatherings. Ticket payments go through Stripe to the host's own Stripe account, and we keep 10% of each ticket. The host sets the price and is responsible for the event, refunds and any tax on the tickets. A seat bought with a ticket can't be given back in the app: ask the host. GST is added to our fee.
- Referrals: when someone signs up with your referral link and pays for their first plan, you get a free month (added to your plan, or as free Member access), or 10 free days if you pay for a Narrator plan (your next payment moves back by 10 days). Referral rewards have no cash value and cannot be transferred.
6. Deleting your account
You can delete your account at any time (Account → Delete my account). Deleting it ends any running subscription straight away and permanently deletes your games, players, messages and other content. Except where the Australian Consumer Law requires, the unused part of a paid plan is not refunded. Download your data first if you want to keep it. We may also delete accounts that have been unused for 6 months after their plan ended, after an email warning (see the Privacy Policy).
7. Using the Service fairly
You must not: harass, threaten or abuse other people; post unlawful, hateful, sexual or misleading content; share other people's personal information without their permission; spam; impersonate anyone; try to get around security, payment or access limits; or interfere with the Service. We may remove content, mute or ban someone from the chat, or suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, acting reasonably and, where appropriate, telling you why.
8. Your content and other people's information
You keep ownership of what you post. You give us permission to store it and show it to the people it is meant for, only to run the Service. When you add players to "My players", you confirm they agreed to you sharing their details with us.
9. Gatherings and games in person
Gatherings in the Bulletin are organised by their hosts, not by us. Hosts are responsible for their events, and everyone is responsible for their own safety and conduct. Mafia is a party game; play responsibly.
10. Other services
Payments are handled by Stripe, and optional music by Apple Music; their own terms apply to them. The apps are also subject to the App Store and Google Play terms. Hosts who sell tickets also agree to Stripe's terms for connected accounts.
11. Changes to the Service and to these terms
We improve the Service over time and may change features. If we make a change to these terms that is significant for you, we will tell you by email or in the app at least 30 days before it takes effect; if you do not agree, you can cancel before then and, where the change reduces what you paid for, receive a pro-rata refund of the unused part.
12. Liability
Subject to your rights in section 1, we are not liable for loss that was not reasonably foreseeable, or that was caused by your own actions or by events beyond our reasonable control. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
13. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Please contact us first so we can try to resolve any problem; you can also contact NSW Fair Trading or the courts of New South Wales.
