Host a Mafia game night

Mafia turns any evening into a night to remember: a dark, funny social game of bluffing and accusations that works for 6 to 20 people with no board and no setup. It is a party game for adults (18+), and at its best on a Friday fun night.

Why Mafia works for a game night

Every round tells a new story. Quiet guests turn into sharp detectives, loud ones into prime suspects, and the table is still arguing about the Godfather's bluff long after the night ends. Newcomers learn it in one round, and regulars never play the same game twice.

What you need

  • 6 to 20 players aged 18 and over
  • One phone running Mafia Narrator, for the narrator
  • About an hour for a full game, so two or three games fill an evening
  • A table or a circle of chairs, and lights you can dim for the night

Planning the night

  1. Pick a scenario: Simple for newcomers, the Godfather for a classic table.
  2. Invite one more player than you need: someone is always late.
  3. Choose a narrator, or take turns between games.
  4. Set the mood with the night music, then deal the roles and let the first night fall.

Mafia gatherings

Golden Narrators host public Mafia nights and post them in the Bulletin, where members book a seat.

No public gatherings are listed right now. Members see every gathering in the app, and get a notification when a new one is posted.

For bars, cafés and clubs

A weekly Mafia night brings regulars back. Any staff member can run it from a phone, with six ready scenarios and your house rules saved.
